Los Coyotes Indian Reservation is located in northern San Diego County. The Los
Coyotes Band of Mission Indians who control the reservation have opened their land to use
by campers, hikers, mountain bicyclist, buggies, and four wheel drive enthusiasts.
The reservation encompasses 25,049 acres of mountain terrain covered with pine, cedar and
black oak trees. The bush is largely manzanita. The canyons are sprinkled with
springs and trails. Hot Spring Mountain at 6,533 feet is the tallest peak in San

East on I8 past Laguna Summit take the Buckman Springs Road exit. Go right about 3
miles past the school, turn right into Lake Morena campground/recreation area exit.
Follow the road past Lake Morena up to Four Corners. Part of Cleveland National
Forest, between Interstate 8 and the Mexican border. Lookout tower atop a 4,805 foot
